Greenhouse was a cello legend. He was such an influence on many teachers that I learned from, and performers who I have a lot of respect for.
I wish I could hear him speak live~ but what he summarizes here is so true. What do you think of when you hear the words “classical music” ? Here’s hoping the future breaks the stuffy mold.
I tried to go without coffee for awhile. Now I realize that my creative buds get a stirring after having a morning cup… Mmm ideas are brewing~ let’s see if I can get on it!!
- UPS: Was that you playin?
- Me: Yup
- UPS: Whatcha playin?
- Me: Oh just some music I gotta learn.
- UPS: ohhh....... *blank stare*
- Me: Good bye thanks for the delivery!
- Somehow I dont think he wouldve understood a spiel about Carter sonata. I mean I dont even understand some of it!!
